University of Athens Collaboration

.

Our collaboration with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens concerns the e-learning program "Cosmetology. Method of Preparation of Cosmetics from Natural Raw Materials and Medicinal Plants" as well as the Postgraduate Program "Cosmetology-Dermatopharmacology" of the Pharmacy Department.

E-learning program "Cosmetology. Method of Preparation of Cosmetics from Natural Raw Materials and Medicinal Plants"

For the e-learning program "Cosmetology. Method of Making Cosmetics from Natural Raw Materials and Medicinal Plants" our company was selected to shoot a video on the factory premises where we explain how a productive cosmetics factory should operate according to the Good Manufacturing Practice and the European Regulation on cosmetics. We visit all areas of the factory and show production processes of different types of cosmetics as well as controls that must be carried out before the products are released on the market. We talk about the rules of safety and hygiene that must be followed.

Also for this program we have given six lectures that have been recorded on topics related to the legislation and controls of cosmetics as well as entrepreneurship and sustainable development. More specific, the topics are:

  • Microbiological tests on cosmetic products and production water.
  • Stability Test
  • Cosmetic products claims
  • Cosmetic products safety report (CPSR)
  • Sustainable development
  • New cosmetics brand/company

These lectures along with the video of the factory are part of the e-learning program "Cosmetology. Method of Making Cosmetics from Natural Raw Materials and Medicinal Plants."

Postgraduate Program "Cosmetology-Dermatopharmacology" of the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Athens.

The laboratory of the postgraduate program "Cosmetology-Dermatopharmacology" of the Pharmaceutical Department undertakes the dermatological tests for our products.

Also once a year we welcome the first-year postgraduate students of this program who visit our factory to guide them and show some methods of production and control of cosmetics as well as to explain the proper operation of a cosmetics factory.

Finally from this program we accept second-year postgraduate students to carry out their internship that lasts one month. Students during their internship work in the departments of research and development, production, quality control and regulatory affairs so as to have a comprehensive education around the cosmetics industry. They have the opportunity to be trained in the production of different types of products since our factory is licensed by the National Organization for Medicines for the production of all types of cosmetics.

The lectures, the guided tours and the trainings of the students are carried out by the factory manager Christina Sakellariou who is a chemist and graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a training in Cosmetology. She has a master's degree from the London School of Economics in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management. She has collaborated with magazines and sites writing articles on beauty, wellness and effectiveness.
